You Are Forgiven — Romans 8:1
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1 (ESV)
Many believers live as though God is constantly angry with them.
But Romans 8:1 tells a different story.
What No Condemnation Means
Condemnation is a legal word. It means guilt and punishment.
Paul says that for those who belong to Christ, the verdict has already been settled.
No condemnation.
Jesus already bore the punishment our sin deserved.
Conviction Is Different
Christians still experience conviction when they sin. But conviction restores us. Condemnation destroys us.
One pushes us away from God in shame. The other pulls us toward Him in repentance.
A Prayer for Today
Lord, thank You that through Jesus I stand forgiven before You. Help me walk in freedom instead of shame and rest in Your grace today. Amen.
